That's really cool! One question though: I've noticed that 3d prints often have a grainy texture - does shapeways have that 'grain' to it, or is it nice and smooth? Would it show up under paint? (Obviously your 3d model has no grain to it, it's lovely and smooth.) I really look forward to the time when conversion parts and full miniatures can be printed out at home. It'll be a whole new era for miniatures games - one where we have the reigns.
