Nope, Warlords Hounds are metal too.

You can buy the hounds individually, or in a pack with a dog handler, and the British Cavalry box (not the Celtic one) has 3 Mastiffs in it.

As well as GW's do with each other :)
They are realistically proportioned and will fit in well with most LOTR models but even with WG Celts their are noticeable differences between there range! I can compare with specific LOTR models if you want and possibly take a few photo's, just let me know which ones - I don't have any metal Dunlendings though :)
