With the coming out of the new rulebooks I finally got back my interest in the game (yay!). So, while looking through the new profiles, I tried to get together some Rivendell lists. The first ones will be a infantry focussed with some cavalry, the last four will all be versions of an all mounted army.

Army list 1:

Elrond, Master of Rivendell with heavy armour on horse
6 High Elf Warriors with shields
6 High Elf Warriors with bows and spears
1 High Elf Warriors with banner, bow and spear
4 Rivendell Knights with shields

Círdan
4 High Elf Warriors with shields
4 High Elf Warriors with shields and spears
4 Rivendell Knights with shields

Army List 2:

Gil Galad, High King of the Elves with shield on horse
8 High Elf Kingsguards with shields
7 High Elf Kingsguards with shields and spears
1 High Elf Kingsguard with banner, shield and spear
2 Rivendell Knights with shields

Círdan
4 High Elf Warriors with shields
4 High Elf Warriors with bows and spears
4 Rivendell Knights with shields

So, as you can see, the first army is a bit more focussed on shootin, using Elrond to get rid of the bow limits of the knights. The second list on the other hand has got better combat capacity with the Kingsguard's fight value. Which one of these lists would you guys think is better?

So, for the cavalry armies, I have got the following 4 variations:

Army List 1:

Elrond, Master of Rivendell with heavy armour on horse
6 Rivendell Knights with shields
1 Rivendell Knight with banner

Elladan and Elrohir with heavy armour and elf bows on horses
6 Rivendell Knights with shields

Army list 2:

Elrond, Master of Rivendell with heavy armour on horse
5 Rivendell Knights with shields

Glorfindel, Lord of the West with Armour of Gondolin on horse
5 Rivendell Knights with shields

Legolas Greenleaf with armour and elven cloak on horse

Army List 3:

Elrond, Master of Rivendell with heavy armour on horse
6 Rivendell Knights with shields

Lindir of Rivendell with heavy armour on horse
6 Rivendell Knights with shields

Saruman the White on horse

Army List 4:

Elrond, Master of Rivendell with heavy armour on horse
11 Rivendell Knights

Legolas Greenleaf with armour and elven cloak on horse

So the first army list has got the advantage of three M3 combat heroes, while packing a banner and 15 bows.

The second list is basically on par archer wise, but splits the two heroes into a combat beast and a shooting focussed one.

The third list brings all the magic shenanigans with Saruman, Elrond and Lindir as a pure support hero.

The fourth list is closest to GBHL Jamie's Rivendell Knights list under the old rules, with the two captains swapped for Elrond for the sake of bow limit.

So, which of these four list do you think are competitive and which aren't?

I think you have too much heroes, I would take only one and Elrond for now limit and stack knights.
