warriors. assuming this is for SBG, the warriors are pertty hard to get rid of, for a basic troop type.
You already have two solid but cheap heroes and a generic one, and a good amount of elites so get some more troops.
Once it's a good size army, think about some allies like Radagast or riders of rohan.
Vault wardens are expensive both in money and points and fulfill a highly specific role, that is, to defend. they're good, but don't get them just yet. :)

I would first suggest getting a box of dwarf warriors, 2 if you are thinking of playing 400+ point games.
Then do a conversion to create a banner bearer.
After that add some more Khazard guard or Iron guard.
If your playing over 500 point games then a dwarf ballista could be good.

I think good beginning 500 points list to try after getting 2 Dwarf warrior boxes and the banner would be:

Gimli, son of Glóin 1

Dwarf Warrior with Banner 1
Dwarf Warrior Dwarf bow 14
Dwarf Warrior Shield 12
Dwarf Warrior 2-handaxe 9
Khazâd Guard 6

That gives you 43 models for 500 points.

@Elros of Numenor

Radagast can be so much fun to use can't he. I have only really used him in 750+ games but that renew spell starts to really annoy your opponent as your heroes just keep on going and going.

Haven't tried allying Riders of Rohan, sounds like a lot of points. Though I suppose you don't need Khazard guard or other elites is you take them.

@antlion

Yep, lots of fun!! :-D

The idea behind using RoR is that dwarves don't have cavalry. rohan are cheap and have expert rider in SBG so they will really help with movement problems and that sort of thing when using dwarves. They're not really considered to be elites, though I suppose you could take royal guard. I haven't tried that yet.... :twisted:
