Just a little shout out asking if there are any other girls out there that play WOTR? Be nice to play another girl one time. I feel like there isn't many of us, because when I walk into a GW shop all the guys just look at me lol. :roll:

thats because it is not normal for a girl to play this games, if you go to a comic store it will be the same lol i mean no offense to you by saying this >.< on the local stores in my country all i see is guys and more guys playing ( not LOTR or WOTR :-X

I believe this should be in the Opponent finder section, but what do I know. Anyway, good luck to you, and if you can't find any, perhaps you could teach one of your friends how to play?

I got into it because my brother and my boyfriend at the time played it, I love art as well so I enjoyed painting my brothers army for him too. I'm about to start painting a dwarf army now, that's why I was interested with people's view of what was good and bad for a dwarven army.

Two of the people I tought to play WotR were girls.

I also saw a girl or two playing 40k in my local GW a few months ago.

Far as I know 1 play with elves, the other prefer dwarves(or like she call, an entire female dwarven army) XD

@NLJT, so when you walk into those hobby stores/clubs, do the boys just turn red, duck for cover, and stutter and shake when you try to communicate to them? Or do they just have their tongues drooling out from their mouths? LOL

In my old LOTR facebook group, which fb has archived now, out of 100 people only a handful were females. At a local community I'm surprised to see an enthusiastic woman organizing events for WHFB & 40K in which she's probably the only female that participates.

If it's up to the painting-part of the hobby, there are several girls around though, in fact some of the best (and my favorite) painters are girls...
Haven't seen girls playing tabletop-games in my area though (but then again, I only stepped twice in my life in a GW-shop and only had eye for the miniatures, so I'm sure no girls were around, otherwise I would have probably asked for an introduction into the game... heh)

Where do you live? I organize and play SBG, Avalon Hill games, GMT games, historical miniature wargames -- Napoleonics and America War of Independence. I paint and have my own collection of armies. My samurai and ECW collection are incomplete at this point, but I hope to get into that later. Let me know where you are located and perhaps we can meet up for a game.
