Hi all,
I'm brand new to the LOTR/ The Hobbit games. A friend of mine at a recent gaming convention here in NY (okay, it was only 2 days ago) taught me how to play this amazing game. I must say, I'm ashamed I didn't try it earlier! We played 400 points, I was Uruk-Hai and my friend played Rohan (*I believe, as it wasn't all mounted troops).
A little bit about my gaming history, I've been an avid Warhammer/ 40K/ Specialist Games player since 1995. I'm just awe-struck about how solid the rules for LOTR are.
Best of all, I bought The Fellowship rulebook and The Return of the King rulebook used for $10 each today! My first models for this game are the Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs. These new plastic kits are great, and reasonably priced.
