When assembling my Rohan Royal Guard metal pack, after washing them, the first 2 glued fine and are ready to paint. The last 1, however, will not seem to mold together. I even tried washing it again, but to no avail. This happened with my Faramir too but I got it to stick eventually by fitting the arm a certain way so it couldn't fall out while the glue dries. But this one won't stick. Any suggestions?

5 minute epoxy is my only glue source for metal.

If you are using CA (Super Glue), you can use a spray that creates a chemical reaction and causes the CA to instant bond. Try to be careful where you aim the spray, as paint doesn't like to stick to it. The chemical bond also creates heat, so I would strongly advise wearing latex gloves to avoid getting glue and bonder on yourself. It hurts like crazy...glue! (tee hee: pun!)

Pin the joint first, that will guarantee a hold and the flexibility to have the arm or other body part as you wish before you fill the joint. I use Gorilla Glue as my super glue, immensely strong stuff.

The metal currently in use is not very porous.Super glue is not very strong and very thin. Try roughing up the surface with sandpaper.You may need to pin it like already mentioned. I like Gorilla glue too. You may still need to rough up the surface for a good bond. Clamps are another option.

I often use a paper clip. Smaller bits are often necessary for drilling hands for spears. The dremel will break them if you make the slightest mistake. Hand tools are often the best. The needle nose pliers will cut wire but clippers and flush cutters are better. I purchased several sets of the pliers for the kids to use when they are here. They are about $2 ea.
