I did mournfang brown, devlan mud, and then highlight with mix of mournfang brown and yellow for my leather bits

Hi guys Anyone got any good techniques for brown area? Ie cloth leather or spear staffs? I normally use scorched brown over chaos black then highlight with bestial with a dark wash over the top but Iv never been happy with it. Any ideas?? |

I use scorched brown with a drybrush of graveyard earth with a wash, then another light drybrush of graveyard earth (or whatever they call them now) |
