Does anyone have any advice on painting the wicker like armour on the haradrim raiders and their horses? Thanks |

Just finished painting some of these myself; [New Paints] Paint with watered down snakebite leather [Balor Brown] (so as not to lose detail) Heavy drybrush with Dheneb Stone [Rakarth Flesh] Wash with Badab Black [Nuln Oil] Light drybrush with Bubonic Brown [Zamesi Desert] Worked out pretty well for me, just dont do it gold like games workshop would have you do it. I tried it gold and it looked awfull. |

I believe I did a snakebite leather base, then heavy drybrush of bubonic brown, then a light drybrush of bleached bone. You can see the results on my wip thread. (http://www.one-ring.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=21621&start=120) |

Thanks for the advice (and inspirational pics). I have followed talset's scheme and just need to do the final dry brush. I agree about the gold on the games workshop pics - though for some reason the Mahud with similar armour are done much better. |
