I've ran into a slight problem with putting my Shelob together, namely I can't work out which leg goes where! Although Games Workshop has an article on modelling and painting Shelob, I still can't work it out. Can anyone help me work this out? |

HeavySoul, how about posting that image in this thread... unless it's top secret? Not that I'm having anything to do with Shelob's legs, but there are quite a few of them. -- Pasi |

I wasn't sure if GW would be unhappy about the image being posted, but here it is...if it must be removed, please do so: |

I'm sure they don't mind, but if they do, we'll remove it. Thanks for the picture! I hope it will make assembling Shelob quite a lot easier. -- Pasi |

Hahah, I struggled quite a bit with those legs, too It's funny, cause they all look so bloody similar. Glad you figured it out. Mine stuck with glue, maybe you should buy a better brand or something. |

I'm making progress...... The superglue and baking soda trick appears to be working. |

Superglue and baking soda? Please elaborate! I know of the superglue/PVA glue trick, but not baking soda. |

Baking soda is a catalyst for curing superglue, basically it causes it to set almost instantly. Place superglue on one if the parts and coat the other in baking soda. You have to be damn sure that you are able to position the parts together correctly (measure twice cut once approach) but you don't need to hold the pieces in place while they dry once they are together. |

BTW with something like a metal troll you will still need to pin the pieces as well. |

Here are some pictures of my modified Shelob. Definitely pin the legs--its time consuming but worth the effort. Hope they are of some help: |

If/when (I do stress the "if") I ever get around to building my Shelob, I am going to have to steal that idea from you IsleStaggerholm...that's awesome! |

My first metal troll was not pinned and the glue never failed on it. About that Shelob conversion - it looks awesome, wish I'd thought odf it, but I wanted to put my webbed Frodo in Gorbag's Morgul Rats (and did so) anyway. |
