Hey yeah does anyone have any of those Gripping Beast saxons and/or vikings? If so, what are the sizes like? I'd really like to see them side-by-side with a few LotR minis to get an idea of how well they scale together, if someone could snap a quick pic that would be most appreciated.

I have the Gripping Beast plastic vikings box, and the miniatures fit very well alongside GW LotR figures. They are about the same size as the metal figures (28mm scale). Sorry I don't have any pics.

That link might help. Scroll down for a picture. I think that plastic viking is GB, and I know the metal guy is.

Some of the GB heads are oversized. Others are ok. If you switch them with Rohan heads I think you can get away with some of them.
Left to Right:
1-GW Rohan Warrior, 2-GB body+GW head, 3-GW Rohan Captain, 4-GW body+GB head

cheers, that's really helpful!

they seem to be sculpted to historical scale with heroic scale heads? weird. that headswap with the rohan warrior looks fantastic though.
