This could be in the wrong forum. Mods please move if so. I've got an Obi Wan miniature (72mm) that I would like to paint up but I'm struggling with the lightsaber. I figure if I paint it blue with a white middle similar to NMM it will look stupid from certain angles. I'm thinking about just painting it a bright light blue with no highlights given that it is it's own light source and then use a similar blue to simulate an OSL effect on clothing etc that the lightsaber would emit. Does anyone else have any ideas? Cheers |

Your second idea sounds great. Though this should probably be in the off topic forum. |

Your post also.. I think the second idea is much nicer, but also much, much harder. Perhaps you can try it on a spare sprue roughly the size of the lightsaber. |
