Hello, I'm looking for maces and other weapons to use for conversions but it's hard to find bits that fit the lotr/hobbit range because of it's size.

Anyone know where I can get these bits?

Good port of call is wargames factory dark ages sets. The weapons are not heroic scale, and very realistically proportioned, shields, various 1 and 2 handed axes, 2 different spears, swords etc. Just not maces.

There is another much smaller company that puts out a small set of plastic medievals and I believe they do a weapon sprue including maces just can't recall their name at present.

Conquest also do a weapons only sprue but with arms attached.

Fireforge infantry sets have some maces.

As a general comment plastic dark ages/medieval sets often come with loads of "non-heroic" spare weapons (just in case you are not familiar with them).
Hope this helps.

Fireforge games is to my eye, exactly on par with hobbit minis. I recently bought some and I'll keep you in mind. There's a really cool flail in there too. (Dol Amroth and Numenor don't really strike me as mace-wielders.) I also have some maces from the Empire Flagellants in my bit box. PM me if interested.
