So I is ABOUT to buy some Greenstuff (first time), and I was wondering about a few things..
1) How does it stick?? won't it just fall off the figure once its dry?? Like clay??
2) How do I sculpt it? Are special expensive tools necessary?
3) How does one sculpt TINY bits and bobs like baggies and knives?? Aren't things like that waaay too small??
4) IS IT WORTH BUYING.

1.no it wont fall off. its the most sticky thing since Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun (blackadder quote)

2.a) simply shape it with whatever tools you have untill it get into the right shape - practice makes perfect... B) No. most of the tools are not expensive and not always entirely neccissary. Good tools are simply an aid IMO

3. practice makes perfect

4.yes to the power of infinity

heres a picture of my tools:

Image

both are nails, hammered flat
the one on the right is my slicing/flat/detail one - sharp enough to draw blood! really good for micro details
the on on the left i use for scale mail and faces

i hope this helps 8)

That's a good idea with the nails, Sid. Will have to keep that in mind!

I'd recommend a tab type tool, like the left nail there. When I started I just used craft knives but they were too fiddly. GW did one was a tab on one end and a knife on the other.
