Hi all
im looking for some dwarfs on ebay and I found these:

However, I am not very convinced about the detail. All the casts look a bit dodgy and there are many floppy looking bit
do you reckon they are 'fake' or non-GW casted?

advice verymuch welcomed :)

They're the GW Dwarf Warriors http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... od1500392a

Not the most detailed casts they've done, but like with the Mines of Moria plastic fellowship, a bit of work, and being a decent painter can get them looking really good :)

they're decent miniatures.
I really enjoy painting them, but they are not the most detailed minis.
There's an article on painting them on this site by Bart (thebucklandbrewer)

If you scroll to the bottom, you'll find them.

Looks like a few of them have had axe heads swaps, just small conversion I'd say they're genuine like!

None of them have been converted I think actually.

They are all 100% GW Dwarf Warriors. I guess you didn't realise how poor some of the sculpts are. I told my local GW how poor sculpts I thought the dwarves were, and he actually said that the WoMT were worse, I think not.

mmm...
maybe its just the ruined detail that looks odd

@gothmogthewerewolf: Are you sure they're not converted? what about that dwarf with the double bladed axe at the back?

do you think the metal versions are much better?

Yep defo conversions there, I own over sixty dwarf warriors and no shield armed guys have a double sided axe! Plus there's also identical sculpts there with different axes. I actually like the dwarf sculpts and womt there simple but that doesn't necessarily make them bad! I'd say he's under coated/repainted them with chaos black paint rather than spray and so lost some detail that way.

Metal versions are nice to add new poses and break up the dwarf warriors a bit, but I like the plastics better..more armouryryry lookin' 8)
Anyway good luck bidding!

I see, never seen the spruesm assumed the weapons were interchangeable.

But then, I rembered the sculpts were so poor. The metals look way better.
