Did anyone else see that Gandalf pulls the same technique on Bilbo as he did on Beorn in order to have they provide hospitality for 13 Dwarves?

Bilbo: Gandalf prepares a tea-time. Dwalin and Balin arrive one at a time. Fili and Kili arrive together. The rest arrive in two large groups of five.

Beorn: Gandalf and Bilbo arrive first. The rest of the dwarves arrive in pairs save the last three.

Coincidence? I think not.

Of course it wasn't coincidence. Nothing Gandalf did was coincidence.

Would YOU open your doors to 13 Dwarves? Hard to get by that and not be rude yourself, so a wee bit of avoidance is in order.

I'm not 100% sure I'd open my door to ONE dwarf. :-D

I can see why he would do it, I just thought it odd I didn't notice it in my previous readings.
