Who is in Theoden's party riding out from helm's deep?

I'm planning to recreate the scene from helms deep where theoden, aragorn etc ride out, and gandalf and Eomer come save the day.

I just re-watched the movie and noticed there's an extra person I hadn't noticed in the charge. I know there is theoden, aragorn, legolas, gamling and 4 x royal guard, but does anyone know who the other guy is on the white horse, blonde hair? They don't really give a good shot of him, but he's not dressed as a royal guard, but I would assume he is someone important riding with the king

He is legolas. Was supposed to be arwen but pj changed it at the last moment and cgi'd in another legolas.

Oh OK that's weird haha, I think the armour on the horse changes too, because I was trying to tell them apart. Sometimes it has armour on the head, sometimes it doesn't

Its a CGI sequence, they must have accidentally duplicated Legolas.

Hah, thanks for the heads up and info SD, I consider myself quite the geek on the film trilogy but I'd never noticed this, just had a look and it's so obvious when you know it's there!

I was under the impression it was 'just an elf'. From a dodgy memory, I recall that it was originally supposed to have been Arwen :-o

. She was scripted to be at Helms Deep but wisely PJ and Co decided against it but the riding out scene had been done; therefore she was CGI'd into a second blond Elf. I could (and probaly am) wrong but it does ring a bell.

Watched the scene again and it is indeed a 2nd Legolas,
you can't see him clearly, but he is recognizable.

Ha. I never noticed that before but just watched it and there he is. Does that mean that I can include legolas twice in my army now?
