A mate of mine has been up to the North East this weekend and tonight told me that GW Sunderland have messed up with their orders for Radagast on his sleigh. Instead of 10 they got 100 of them and as a result they need to get rid of them quickly, so they are selling them off for £15 !!! Apparently, as you would expect, they are moving quickly and this post may already be too late, but if anybody gets the chance then you could bag yourself a bargain. My mate has one and he has already received feedback from me as to why I haven't also got one |

Wow, the first ever case of GW lowering their costs. They should make mistakes like this more often! |

GandlaftheGrey can you please check your info a little more carefully. After telephoning G.W. Sunderland I can confirm that none of this ever happened! As we all know G.W. don't offer discounts. |

It's also like them to deny any knowledge of mistakes or mismanagement. |

I hope GW doesn't get the same people to write the employee checks. |

Feels likes telling off, or more like an attempt !!! My mate is a 48 yr old straight talking bloke who doesn't lie. He is standing infront of me with the item saying he paid £15 for it. My belief in him is beyond reproach. If you had been in the situations I have been in with him, where complete trust is essential then you may know where I'm coming from. I cannot answer for staff who may be concerned whose ringing and thinking they may get into trouble. Have you thought that staff could be cashing in on a windfall ? It happens. As for confirming none of this ever happened, you can't. |

Lorindol wrote: it still seems highly unlikely though Precisely! Its hardly a windfall if there is a huge gap in the takings if a hundred box sets that are expected to sell for £30 each are sold to the public at half price leaving a £1,500 whole in the months takings! |

Try as you may there is only one person I believe and that is someone I trust who has no reason to lie or hide the truth. No mount of 'what if's' will replace the fact he was there and we were not and like I've said, with no reason to lie. Perhaps the staff have a nice little Xmas bonus as even the depot or head office didn't realise what had gone on. |

I am actually concerned as that you are making accusations without presenting a shred of proof that the staff at G.W. Sunderland are corrupt? |

I fail to see how they are being acused of "corruption" businesses make errors and when an over-abundance of inventory is received it is fairly standard practice for products to be sold at a lower price point to make back the loss from the mistake. I also don't see any accusation that anything was done w/o corporate's knowledge. |

@Bilbo I respectfully disagree, I believe you are reading things in that are not there. But that's the last I'll say |

I'm gonna jump in here and say I also bought raddy on sleigh for £20. It was slightly miscast (read not really) and the local manager didnt want to send it back to HQ so I took it off his hands. So yes, it does happen. |
