Is there an unwritten (or publicly acknowledged) code among mini sculptors that states they must put an obscure, minute detail in the most ridiculous, unreachable area of a mini to make the painters life hell while trying to paint it? Just been (attempting) to paint up some minis and they are annoying the [word deleted] off me! In particular one has a sword hilt up against the cloak but there's barely enough space to get your brush between the body and cloak to try and paint it! Sook session over... |

If you can't get a brush up there, how did they get a sculpting tool up there? Now thats a puzzling question . Some of those guys are so good it's disgusting and illegal. |

Well, I may have exaggerated a little With my jittery hands though it's tough to do it neatly. |

Just because a figure is cast in one piece, doesn't mean that it was neccessarily sculpted in one piece. Highly detailed weapons/ armor/ faces are often done seperately then added to the main body of the mini, which can of course be frustrating when it comes to painting the final casts. |
