lol hey guys i know you probably haven't seen me on here. a while back i was going to start galadhrim but after the hobbit came out i figured id wait to get back into the hobby. basically i am waiting to do the Iron Hill Dwarves. i was wondering if anyone else here is waiting on those too? ive been very leery about getting back into lotr though with almost all of the Lotr range being tossed in the trash which is very unfortunate and a bad decision in my opinion. but yes dwarves!! any news on them? i think its coming close being that they just released the white council and radaghast on a great eagle. but whats next after they finished the hobbit? i mean there's not a lot to cover for the hobbit and i don't think GW can keep the sbg alive without the various kingdoms and armies that the lord of the rings universe had. anyways im sorry if this was an odd topic i know im not really on here alot and my sudden popon was awkward but alas.. i have a plan!!.. i think... i hope lol

Get what you can when you can, and don't hold your breath.
There are a lot of "Temporarily out of Stocks".
A LOT. And I have not been seeing it come back.
I noticed because I comb through it thinking of my next buy.

But rumours we going around that GW are going to reprint the sourcebooks, as the hobby is much more popular than they had expected, so maybe, just maybe, we'll get them.

I'm not looking forward to the Iron Hills Dwarves, but I am looking forward to new evil stuff; Giant Bats, Armoured Gundabad Trolls, Ogres, New Ringwraiths, Goblin Mercs etc

If they do release more stuff I expect Iron Hills Dwarves and BotFA Evil creatures to form the brunt of the releases, along with another Gandalf probably.

I would love an Iron Hills plastic kit, but I'm not too hopeful. I honestly think GW are done with The Hobbit now, although I would love to be proven wrong!

At the end of the day, though, it isn't too hard to convert Grimhammers into pike-wielding Iron Hills Dwarves if you have to. Like so:

If not, I will have to buy a new Grim Hammers box and start converting

i guess ill see what happens, worse case scenario ill work on my galadhrim, or start some dwarves from the old lotr line, randomly picked off on ebay. but i really hope they do the dwarves, it would be a mistake not to.

They gotta' do them, such a critical point in the battle.
They should get some kind of cool reinforcement rule.

I have kinda the same question regarding the availibilty of miniatures at the moment. GW as mentioned above, is making a lot of their previous LOTR miniatures not any more. But they still have their molds right? If I look at the secondhand market (Ebay) some of the old miniatures go for rediculous prices. In my eyes their is a lot of demand for certain miniatures that GW is no longer making. They still have their license at the moment. We do they not reproduce some of the old miniatures? Or make new box sets that they have never produced before for the LOTR line. I think they could make a lot of profit with reproducing the old line.

They could make an absolute killing for a few weeks by putting certain models back in production. Imagine if Mahud king, Dunedain, Wildmen etc. come back online. There must be some reason they can't otherwise surely they would?

Exactly like you say! I think they can re-produce those miniatures with no problem. But I could be wrong. The problem with GW is that they are not aware of the people that buy their product. I am not saying that they should re-produce the whole miniature line. Nevertheless, there enough miniatures that they can sell in big ammounts if they would re-produce it!

The moulds they do have are for metals. They would have to make completely new molds for Finecast, which would be fairly expensive for them to do for a line that hasn't been doing terribly well.
