Hi all, managed to find some time to play another game and although it was eagle free, it did feature three trolls! We played the old "uprising" scenario as an "evacuation" scenario. Lots of goblins and three trolls turn up out of nowhere in the middle of a Harad town. Two Hasharin and a chieftain have to make a run for a waiting boat... Not enough time for a super-write up but still about 80 annotated pics of the game on the blog, so hope you enjoy! http://simbattleboard.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/trolls-vs-haradrim-evacuate.html |

Great match! Glad to see some influence from the Princess Bride in the narration! |

Wow, that was an Inconceivably great game. Nice to see something other than a shield wall vs. shield wall battle. |

Ok, have to ask...how did you make the water? Whats the secret? You've inspired me to make my own table. I have 1 2'x2' already, just have to get 3 more and then some unique ones for special scenarios. As always, great BR. ...yep that me Miss Anon |

You'll have to hit my brother's site and ask him! http://paulslotrminis.blogspot.com.au/ It's just a picture or photo I think that he put under a board he cut to shape. Not sure of the specifics sorry! |

I looked for a repeating ocean texture on google images. Then I created a blank bitmap image in a graphics program that was the size of one of my boards. I filled the blank image with the tiled, repeating ocean texture. I then incrementally brightened the image in the shape of the coastline, so it was brighter the closer it got to where the beach of my board is. Then I cut up the image into multiple A4 sheet sized images, so that I could print it out on glossy photo paper to give it a sheen. I then sticky-taped all of the A4 sheets together, and just lay it on the table underneath the beach board! |

LoL I'll have to attempt it. Would be a nice surprise for my bf when we recreate you and your brothers game! - |

How epic! Nice scenery, were all those buildings made out of paper or are my eyes damaged? I'm inspired to play a scenario now! |

A rather epic game. I read the report as a break from study which was a mistake because it was so hard to force myself to return to it afterwards. A rather unpredictable ending but those are always the most enjoyable where you're not sure which way it's going to go. I must convince my friend to play something like this instead of his preferred death matches. |

A very nice table to fight on. It reminds be of Black Hawk Down (don't ask me why). |

Wow! What a fantastic battle report! I love how you focused so much on the individual models when you were recounting the scenario--it made the read so much more fun and easily more engaging than a wall of shields and spears! I loved hearing about the Hasharin who parried five arrows with his swords, and who charged halfway across the board on one wound without getting brought down by arrows. Inconceivable! Also, the models and playmats are totally phenomenal. Absolutely kudos to the appearance of your game! |

Thanks all =) I really can't strongly recommend highly enough to play some scenarios, even just the basic types in the new sourcebooks. They really do make for more fun than deathmatches in friendly games as you can usually generate some sort of story to entertain yourself with - winning OR losing it's fun =) |

It may appear as if I have'nt noticed this thread befiore, but actually I have I just struggled to react to the title. I love Trolls and enjoy watching them slaughtering people, but I also love Haradrim and do not like watching them get slaughtered. So I will just say; fthyukftvg ftv jgfchj which means whatever you want it to mean, within reason. Sort of a nice battle |
