Last year, Andy and I playtested some 'War of the North' lists. In my (absolutely non-biased) opinion, these lists made the game work a LOT better. However, I really miss my army of Gondor (or oftimes 'the Reunited Kingdom'). So Andy used the Dol Guldur list that we'd done and I just took the Gondor list, bumped the cost of the 25pt infantry up to 30pts, used the houserules, and once more Thorongil went forth in the service of Echelion II to strike at threats to the Kingdom of Gondor. Afteral, the Necromancer of the Hill of Dark Sorcery was but a charlatan and his Orc rabble could be crushed easily by the Men of the West...

Just looked at your Web site, very good. Like your Bolt Action section.
I have ordered the Baker Company Fins from Kick Starter, hopefully will get my first delivery this month, have you had any delivery yet?

Hi Harfoot, thanks.

No I haven't, though I swapped Finns for summer uniforms so probably would have been waiting later anyway. One of my mates ordered some Winter Finns and Soviets and I believe he has received nothing so far.

How have you find Brigade models? The Veneator is my favorite star wars ship, so am tempted to pick up a few of those, who knows BFG masqureading as a star wars game may work :p

I don't believe many people have got there's yet. I'm also waiting for my Russians.

Thanks for putting the report up, I love reading them. I was of course rooting for your opponent as I love Dol Guldur and so wasn't disappointed. I'm glad you're still here

Thanks GtW. I am sorta still here as I noticed when I posted this on my local forum that it is pretty much a year since my last WOTR game!

I like Andy's Dol Guldur force too. He's used one of those translucent reaper bones fire elementals. I should try back-lighting it somehow, you know, when I do the next report in a year's time...

I write to you, Lord Ecthelion, for somewhere to the east of the mighty Anduin. Imrahil, was leading us to the relief of Thorongil's army. We were not aware of their defeat and the falling snow masked the enemy's approach. It was only the unexpected shying of the horses, balking at any further advance, that alerted to us to the approach of deadly spirit hosts. The silent ghosts were come to bring us death in the falling snow.

Can a young Imrahil win free of the Necromancer's trap?

Nicely written battle report; the point of view of one of the survivors gave it a foreboding character. Were you using any special rules for the snowy field?

Photos with snow animations.... now that is a new one in my experience (on this site).
Interesting site with a lot of reports and photos - very well put together!

Thanks guys.
@ Constantine. The open field was normal ground but the big hill was difficult as the sides would be slippery.

@ Dorthonion, the effect is built into G+ so can be added simply by giving your tablet or phone a light shake. :)
