Hi all,

I was wondering how you guys do your saliva effects, I have come across a number of ways and was wondering what you would recommend. It not for now, but I have a project in mind (was it a troll or a warg? :) ) and I'm interested in your thoughts.

Thanks everyone!

Elladan

There is an article at reapermini.com under "the art" on how the author made drool. Woodland Scenics gel water effects might work too, just make thin lines on wax paper, let dry and apply with clear drying glue.

It depends what you are after, if it's something like saliva to touch two areas like the top and bottom teeth then the black top UHU is perfect.
If you want the drool dangling down you can either cut a small piece of clear plastic to shape, or heat up and stretch out some plastic then snip off what you want.
Once you have your piece, fix it in place and slowly add layers of water effects. Make sure each layer is cured before adding the next and slowly build up the shape you want.
A neat trick is to get some clear microbeads, very tiny things, and attach one or more to the main water with a thin piece of your heated up stretched out plastic. When you add your water effects it looks like a droplets of water splashing off.

Just mix white paint I'm with PVA glue, then shape it around the mouth as you see fit or make it hand if you want the person drooling. Once it drys touch it up by adding some paint and you're done, it's not 100% perfect but it works ok.
