At last, we see the article for this masterpiece! :D

A simply stunning article, Mac. It was well writen, the steps are easy to follow, and the end result is simply spectacular. I think this might just be your best article yet. Whenever I move onto building The Shire, this will certainly be one of the first projects I tackle, thanks to your amazing guide. It's truly an inspirational article, fantastic job, Mac! :yay:

Excellent guide Miguel, such an awesome result in the end!
I still remember how you curesed on your floor being covered by thatch for days and weeks, but nothing can beat the technique and materials you use for it! Excellenté! 8)

I remember this mill very well... it was on the go about the same time as I started working on that siege tower (edging closer to completion!) Beautiful rendition of a very characterful building, Mac. 10/10.

Obviously (to Mac), I proofread this article, and whilst going through the endless dribble of Portu-English and rectifying grammar issue after spelling issue :P this article actually made me think of how much I miss building dioramas.

I think you have executed theis excellently Miguel and the outcome is simply superb mate :yay:

Another terrific Shire-model added to the One-Ring collection! Being a fan of Ted Sandyman’s Mill myself I’m ready to admit that you got all the hardware and the atmosphere right! :yay:

The thatching is simply superb. Now I regret that I didn’t take the trouble to add the rope-work to my own mill. The same goes for the painting of the walls and the brick-work which is entirely in agreement with the actual building.

IMHO, the step-by-step guide, together with the templates, makes a classic example of how a DIY article should be written (I’m starting to believe those guys who claim that the OR has the best LOTR modelling-articles in Middle-earth…)

However, you seem to have forgotten a few minor details. For example, there’s a bridge missing… :)

Well done, Miguel!

LOL, Portu-English...I assume that is something like Spanglish. :)

Stunning piece Mac! I really enjoyed reading about the making of this, especially the thatched roof. Some of the best terrain articles on this site are hobbit related and this one sits right up there!

Wow, just wow. I have to agree that some of the best terrain guides are hobbit related. This one is no different. Stunning! :D :yay:

Fantastic article, nicely done. I might try and build a mill such as this, but instead of carving the stone, use Evergreen Plastics/The Other Brand textured stone.
