My goodness I didn't see this one coming Bart! It's fantastic! The quality of that Hobbit Hole is fantastic, is it making it into the OR Awards Master craftsmen category by any chance?

Outstanding effort on this one Bart...one of the very best hobbit holes I've seen done!!
Question: Is the 8 mm grass you mention the Wild grass (NOCH) mentioned in the Materials list? Thanks much!

It's actually something I finished two years ago  in the time we were fully productive on the Exploring Middle-Earth days...
Boredom at work made me finish the article, heh 
@ Dave: yes, the Wildgrass is the 8mm grass (ace-stuff! especially the little matts! TOP-recommander for Hobbitish scenery!) |

The most amazing thing in this whole story is the fact that you could hide this model from us for two years! I can only repeat what a renowned HobbitHoleBuilder wrote to me long ago: “If I was just a little miniature figure, I’d know where to find my home! “ Reading all this, I really hope this “Exploring Middle-earth” project is going to be completed some day soon. As I have experienced myself, building Shire-models brings you in a cheerful and light-hearted mood. This article breathes the same spirit. Springtime has come at last!
Hopefully boredom is going to affect you a lot in the future.

Beautiful work Bart - it has all the atmosphere of the Shire we saw in the films and lots of intricate detail to delight the eye. Maybe this will motivate a certain pair of scallywags to make progress on a certain domicile of the Baggins persuasion... |

Eheh, I had the chance to see this one growing since the very begining... turned out pretty cool indeed. It goes way back to February... of 2007! I remember it well... it was a Monday!

As Bart said, this was completed ages ago, and I too like Mac have seen this from start to finish. Still needs a mention on how good a job you did with it mate !
Proofreading was an absolute nightmare though
