The GW website says he is no longer available. Is this a temporary thing or has he just become a much more valuable miniature in my collection? Hmm.... |

No longer available means they're not selling them anymore. So yes I imagine his value would increase now that has happened. |

I think the Faramir captain of ithilien mounted model also went oop recently on GW website. Is this a licence issue for these older LOTR models or just GW don’t see it as financially viable to keep making them? |

I suspect they were Low Rate of Production models, using limited moulds, which means once they're gone, barring some major impetus to invest in new moulds, they are gone. Alas. |

If thats the case, they should tell their customers that. They should give a warning when production ends, that the miniature is in a While Stocks Last phase. "Get it while you can". I bet the miniatures would sell out overnight. There are dozens of OOP models that I would have bought, despite not playing those armies, simply to add to my collection as an investment for the future in case I ever decided that I wanted to start those armies. Eomer Knight of the Pelennor. Theodred. Halbarad, Grey Company (banner & horn). Grey Company. Rivindell Gandalf. Gothmog. Hasharin. Among others. |

Since none of us can know what the huge GW company is doing. It is very possible that they are just allowing some things to drop out but will rekindle it as a book license characters and models and dissolve the connections to the film images, this would be cheaper to up keep and then they could make most of the characters again. But I would guess, that these are just not popular anymore. The very few people each year that would buy any of the listed models is not worth a production run. I am sure that the 5000+ that sold from the initial production is about all they can expect. Very smart move by GW to not hold inventory that doesn't move or sell allowing them to be lean and carry new products. This also boosts the secondary market, and helps those that are forced to sell off a collection to actually benefit from that sale (instead of getting cleaned out). So it is a very win win situation to drop these as they sell out. even if 20 people came on here saying they would buy the model right now, it would not be worth a production run. Those sales numbers are for the garage casters that do this for a single persons income. As it is now, I don't know how GW pay leases, mortgages and taxes on all the stuff they have. |

http://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/%C3%89omer-Marshal-of-the-Riddermark Looks like he is back in stock on US GW website. Also, this appears to be my first post! How anti-climatic and registered in 2005! Guess I'll have to stop lurking and post more! |

Yep, I can confirm it; I live in Canada (we share the GW head office and warehouse with the U.S.) and I ordered myself an Eomer, KotP the other day. Hopefully I'll have him in hand by Wednesday this week. And yes, you should post more! You've been lurking about here longer than I have, for crying out loud! |

I could start posting, or I can wait another 9 years and post in another random thread! But in all seriousness I will try to be more active than 1 post per 9 years and throw my 2 cents into the community! |

I think there were a couple of "system resets" due to server disk space issues on a couple of occasions a few years back - my post count was cut dramatically a few years ago. Not that it matters, as most of what I post is drivel anyway |

Can we as customers in one country order from the gw website in another? Or does it just redirect you to your home market site? |

I think there is an option – little flag – that you can click on to switch it but not sure if you can then get deliveries as never tried |

I think GW should partner with some of the re-sellers, make things OOP so people get freaked out (even though for years they didn't want to buy the items) and suddenly demand goes crazy, resellers (through GW back door) sell what they have at double or triple the price, when the resellers run out of stock GW can make more product until the orders drop for resell market, then put the items back as available. then suddenly the prices look fantastic and demand goes up again to grab them while the price is good. If they rotate models in this system they can make tons more cash then they currently make and move models that are not selling. At the same time they can under cut the re-sell market as those people won't be able to keep up with what is oop and what is market flooded. |
