Just thought I'd share this with you. I bid on 12 Citadel Guard (4 packs) and lost; they went for £30.01 pluse £3.99 postage. I can get 4 packs, post free, from Games Workshop for £32.80. I double checked and you can get them within 24 hours. Has anyone else found such strangeness on things that are not even hard to get? Stephen |

Whats strange to you would be common sense to an Australian. |

I often see things going for about the same price or more than it would cost to buy from GW directly. In fact I paid almost the full retail price for a Son of Eorl before because it was a way of making sure I got the one I didn't already have. |

Thanks King and Dead, In my parochialism it never crossed my mind that the winning bidder might live outside the UK. Stephen |

I saw them too, and couldn't believe they sold for more than GWS, but that makes sense now... Guess I'll have to buy them new too if I want them! |

Here in Canada, those same minis would be around $81 after taxes. Seeing as the pound is worth roughly double our dollar, it would be a bargain for us too (although shipping would be a lot more, making it roughly equal.) This is why I get my relatives to bring back some stuff whenever they go to the UK! |

If $80 is £40, then that is a good deal for you. |

that stuff normally happens on ebay- dont know if you saw but the same seller had a rumil and 12 galadhrim guard that went for around £10 more than it would at gw. I guess people just get carried away, or live where gw dont ship too. it happens with painted figures too which i find odd sometimes |

When painted there are 2 ways, If its pro-painted it will be worth more than retail. |

No-one ever pays over the retail value on anything ive ever sold! Bidding on skyrim recently, people kept on out bidding me to the point where with postage it was costing more than buying one brand new! |

I LOVE eBay as an Australian! UK sellers make a profit and I make huge savings! Win-win! |

Some years back, my favorite used game store was offering used copies of Platinum Edition Halo: Combat Evolved for about $10 more than it was going for brand new at the electronics store practically across the street. They assured me that their used copies were moving briskly anyway. My only guess-planation is that some people don't bother to make sure they aren't paying too much. |
