Post subject:  New Profiles for New Models

I got my issue of WD #352 today. They have SBG statlines for all the new models (Sons of Eorl, Stormcaller, Shieldbearer, etc) as well as special rules for the new Hornblower Models for use in the SBG.

Nice one Brent - any chnce you could vaguely cover what the horns do.

Compare the rule to something in the current SBG perhaps.

I don't want to break any rules though lol.

A few previews, I think this is legal as I'm not giving out the full details.

Sons of Eorl get the FV boost, Str Boost, and move like Kingly Horses. Oh yea, and an extra attack. They rock at the tidy sum of a Mahud Raider. Definitely looking forward to adding these guys to my Rohirrim (I bought 5 models when they were on advance).

Hornblowers are similar to Signal Horns for Hobbits

Shieldbearer is a minor hero with some cool special rules involving free heroic fights and courage re-rolls.

Druzhag has some special rules that can apply certain furious spells to friendly beasts. He also can share his courage with some of those beasts

Stormcaller gets access to Nature's Wrath as well as a new windy spell. He also gets a special rule that can cause his will to be free.

Amdur (Easterling Hero) - can recover might with certain heroic kills also has some banner like properties.

This is the kind of stuff rohan should have had in the first place...

...Rohan players certainly deserve it after all these years of relative neglect.

Exciting stuff for me, I think Amdur, Druzhag, the stormcaller and the Sons are on my next shopping list.

Sometimes I think there are too many add-ons.... why not just change the basic profile?

Can we get confirmation on whether there are rules for Ghostly Legions (Evil AotD) and Men of Carn Dum in there?

I don't suppose there will be as they are rules for NEW miniatures released in April - Riders of Eorl, banner of the dead, elf stormcaller etc.

But from what I was told, the NEW Army of the Dead will be the standard models for all three...

They were metal AoTD painted browns and reds for carn dum.
