Good Day all, for those of you that still enjoy White Dwarf I thought that I would provide an update for the issues with Middle Earth content.

Mr Gimli: Gorgeous looking Osgiliath display, 6-page article with pictures and some of the thoughts that went into it. Lovely piece, also includes guide to making invasion rafts out of the Goblin-Town kit.

White Dwarf - Issue 454

Defender of the Mark - Middle-earth word-scribbler Jay Clare provides a tactics guide for Eomer, Marshall of the Riddermark.

Mr Gimli: This 4-page tactica falls a little short, with most of it simply describing the profile rather any sort of tactics.

White Dwarf - Issue 453

Rohan Shall Burn - This month's Battle Report pitches the Uruk-Hai of Isengard against a fortress of Rohan. Battering rams are involved.

Mr Gimli: The siege tasks 800 points of Rohan with defending a fort against 1000 points of Isengard and Dunland. 14 pages in length, it feels very much like a showcase of the siege rules and the newer models from the range. Nevertheless it is a good read with lots of pictures of the action and a close-fought result.

Thanks for the heads-up. WD usually takes a month or so to hit the shelves here in my part of Australia. I'm not sure if the local Warhammer shop is even open though in the midst of all this craziness.

No worries. I imagine a lot of people will have issues getting their hobby goods, crazy times hopefully we will all pull through it soon.

I have updated the main post with the teaser for issue 454, not as much content as last month but this is pretty good compared to what we used to get!

I'm with Dagorlad. Still waiting to get my hands on 453 here in Aus.

Any word on pre-order date for the new Eomer model? Must be very soon with him featured here in WD.

Thanks for doing this. I will wait until my local game store opens up to get issue 453. Thought about getting it direct from Games Workshop but thought I better wait and spend money where it is needed most.

Finally got around to buying issue 453, it is a good battle report with nice pictures, still miss the "old days" when they would do battle reports on custom made boards vs putting the terrain on a standard board.

I feel the same, the new terrain is nice but not quite the same. I understand that they want to market the products but I wish they would put a bit more effort in at the same time.

Thanks again, picked up 455 today. That is a nice display board, surprised it only took four Osgiliath kits to cut up.

Don't think I will be buying the Goblin Town kit just to cut up for boats :-D

Find it amusing that they mention that in the River rules in the new Best of that you can see boats made of various material. In the original White Dwarf the next page was directions on how to build those boats.
