Hi all, new-ish member here. Needing some advice and suggestions in the next 24hrs for an army list at 650pts.

***NOTE: thematically the list must be set 10 years prior to FOTR, so no Isengard.


At the moment my basic list (and those that fit my collection) are:

HARAD and UMBAR, 485pts
Warband 1
Golden King of Abrakhan (Leader) 115
Harad warrior with banner 31
4 Harad warriors with spears 28
5 warriors of karna 45
1 serpent rider 13

Betrayer on Fell Beast 170
3 harad warriors with spears 21
4 warriors of karna 36
2 Serpent riders 26

MORDOR, 163pts
Orc captain with Shield 45
3 orcs with shield 18
orc with banner 30
3 orcs with spear 18
4 warg riders with shield 52

Total: 648pts, 6 might


Previously I was running an Isengard 3rd warband of pikes, shields and xbows instead of Mordor, and raiders in place of the serpent riders. Obviously, for the theme, I couldn't have Uruks, and to use the Master of Poisons rule to the max I added those poison blade riders.

I was typically playing a very passive style of sitting back and shooting, later using the Uruk shield wall and Golden King as the Anvil to the Cavalry and wraith Hammer.

Not feeling good about that Mordor section filling that role.
