I've been wanting to do a hobbit hole for a while now and was wondering what the name and manufacturer of the flowers and grass in the Radagast piece is?

All the flowers on the Raddy base are home made from static grass and coloured sand.

As for the brand of grass, I use a mixture of brands, but it's pretty much what ever colour takes my fancy on eBay :)

Gorgeous work; particularly admire the dirt shading and the unit base work - more vegetation there than in my garden. :D

As always, thank you all for the great feedback and motivation... really spurs me on with the next project....

Speaking of which, since finishing my Dol Amroth cavalry I've decide to actually start playing the game! Whoop :D

The plan being to get two small forces together so my daughter and I can learn the game together and start some small skirmish battle over Christmas.

So, she has adopted my Dol Amroth and I'm going to have the Harad troops... Her first question.. "why are there no girls in my army?"
A good question..
Here is my response, a converted captain as

Lothiriel of Dol Amroth

"Lothíriel was the daughter of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth, and later the wife of King Éomer of Rohan."

The blue is smooth and very rich, well done. A fine bunch of knights.

I actually -just- read about this character - great to see someone make a model up for her.

Wonder how these two eventually met?

Look forward to your battle reports :)

Yeah it would be interesting to know the story wouldn't it?... as it is I've made up that she's a battle hardened army captain...
so, I'm going to say they met on a battlefield when she saves his ass somehow, in a true Hollywood style

Anywhoo, on to the rank and file of the foot knights... WIP of my test run before starting a batch run of the other 12 or so

A bit more progress on my test run knight… just the shield to finish off and some final highlights and touch ups to do

I like your idea for Lothiriel of Dol Amroth. I think named heroes make a force more personal, especially during a game. Have you made up a profile for her yet?
I like really love how you managed to let the knights look dirty from battle, but still clean at the same time as well.
And I think I'm going to steal your idea for a head-turn conversion for my own knights

Thanks Baardeend...

I'm thinking I'll make her a slightly stronger captain profile

60pts
F S D A W C M W F
5/4+ 4 7 2 2 5 2 2 2
Wargear - Heavy armour and shield
Options - Armoured horse 15pts
Lance 5pts
Special - Expert Rider

I had to repose my knights... they were going to look like attack of the clones otherwise :P
I think the turned head actually makes them look better

That's a fierce lass for sure ;)
Does she get the Dol Amroth for Gondor! rule as well? Or maybe an alternative rule where Eomer is her banner :P

I know what you mean about a clone army, that's why I have to convert some of mine :-D
