Really nice sculpt Charles, looked at there web site, question is that sculpt for a new Kickstarter or the one that finished a few months ago?

That is the new sculpt from the finished Kickstarter.

I ordered some re released centaurs for my Lion Rampart army. I only had one in Plate Armour. I am having a blast with my 1970's and 1980's armys.

Some of his sculpts are 25mm, wonder if they fit in with Lotr. Isn't Lotr GW 28mm?

EDIT: Nevermind, Lotr is 25mm, I think. So Tom's King Arthur would make a great champion of some sort, I'm thinking Easterling.

Just bought Arthur to use as an Easterling, and Merlyon as a Blue Wizard. Hope scaling will be correct.

There is a comparison picture of the thunderbolt mountain Byzantine heavy spearman that I use as warriors of dale. I will post a picture of the painted ones at some point. They are listed as 30mm. I cut off the base that is molded with them and glued them on a 25mm base.

^30mm but they're fairly close, and also very skinny/small comparing limbs and heads.

Before everyone yells at me......I love the quality of the model....but I dont like the follow through.

An Elf with Chainmail and an axe only seems goofy to me. I like their Elegant armor that sets them apart.

This model to me looks like a warrior of Rohan thats from a Nordic Country.

Would suit more a first age elf warrior. A hero? Not so sure, but it is a nice sculpt.

The original was a pikeman armed with a wire pike with a white metal tip.The wires have proven difficult to source. There are new metal sprues of weapons.

I ordered winged spears. I have three units of 12. Units of 12 are standard in Chaos Wars and Lion Rampant.

The figures are not Heroic scale. They blend with my older figures better than the new plastics.

Well they are closer to true scale. The Elvers are at the store I will try to get some photos during the game Sunday.

Ships in December

The model is going to be available through Iron Wind. Index of new/old releases. I have most of these dated 1979

So my models came and nope I was wrong Lotr is 28mm. The 25mm Tom Meier's are slightly small. Merlyon is lithe but that's okay to use him as a small wizard, King Arthur however is too small a warrior. The horses are noticeably small as well in comparison. Better to stick to Meier's 30mm range.

Great, thanks for the comparison pics. I will imagine that the 30mm range will fit a lot better.

The 30mm Tom Meier figures do "fit" a lot better - with the LOTR metals. The older plastics are tiny (hell, the newer dwarves are close to the height of the older plastics).

But LOTR scale issues have been all over the place, since forever. Probably one of the great things about the WOTR rules is that it stopped pretending the miniatures were anything but playing pieces and structured things accordingly. It doesn't really matter that your High Elf swordsmen are tiny compared to the high elf spearmen: they are on different movement trays.
