Cheers Mally, i paint on an Ikeas 2ft square coffee table in the living room, its that or Mrs.Harfoot would never see me! I remember there used to be a thread of pictures of peoples work areas, might thy and find it, Anyone know where its is?

LOL Mally  Its is from the Warhammer Plastic Giant set

Its a great model, part of my collection along with the previous metal version. I did have to cut him off the Giants back, but i am sure he will think the sacrifice is worth it. I have done a lot more work on the Horn Blower, pictures coming soon

Nice to see a different approach, very dark skin which seems to work.
The leather is really good.
Overall well thought out and executed.

Beautiful work on those trolls.
How easy are they to work with, I think I'm going to get some just for "complete-ness", I doubt I'll ever use them in a game but they are iconic characters that I'd like to own.

This is my entry for the Christmas One-Ring Painting Competition. The story is an Arnor Ranger guarding the Shire in deep winter, resting his sword on the tree to sound a greeting call, unbeknown to him and evil Rook is sat watching and listening to his every move, waiting to fly back to Saruman.

Lovely painting, lovely story that is well thought out. Painting is a good quality, overall someone is going to have to go some to beat this one.
Probably one of your best mate.

Thanks Mally, your comments are much appreciated, some sculpts inspire if you know what i mean. Spent about 20 hours on him.

Thanks also Natarn, Merry Christmas back at you :-)

Thanks Wulox, get them, they are really good "old school" sculpts, and still available direct from GW.

Very nice mini! I really love winter themed miniatures and terrain. Suits the range rparticularly well! The painting is very nice. Is the tree selb made? Somehow reminds me of Treebeards Arms?

thanks, nearly right on the tree, GW released a metal Ent (not TreeBeard) a while ago, it had a lot of different arm options so i had some left over, it was in my spares box for years and finally found a home, the Rook is from the Warhammer plastic Giant set, so the whole miniature is from GW.

Done alot of painting recently, mainly to keep me occupied during a difficult time in my life, i find painting very therapeutical (had to spell check that word!). These are two of them, 2 sculpts by Ukfreddybear which i love, Albert Dreary (aka Peter Jackson) and Mindless Theoden on Throne. I have nearly finished the Dwarf on Pony which i will post soon. I really recommend these figures, well worth adding to your collection.

Still working away on Smaug by the way, will post more pics in the next few days.

Great to see you back mate. Sculpts look great and a nice job on them. Those daffodils have me intrigued, where did you get them from ?
