There are none :D only the amount of bow armed models that you own are the restrictions, unless you are ok with proxies in which case you could take every formation as archers....

Some people complain about bows, and suggest limits, but like any formation bows can be used well or they can just tickle the enemey turn after turn.

Bows are good at wiping out light infantry. But will get annihilated by massed ranks of heavy infantry and unable to do more than pick off one or two heavy armoured guys a turn.

Conditions and situation like life make a difference. This is just as in real warfare. Look at the English at Agincourt. It wasn't a battle it was a massacre. But if the French had acted differently the unarmoured English Longbowmen would have died in droves. The set views on chivalry handicapped the French. So don't take a knife to a gun fight. And always plan how to deal with enemy missile formations, and be flexible.

But short answer: Yeah there are no bow limits in WotR nor are any needed.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. A bow limit would certainly make things a little fairer...bows can be very effective on mass, especially against monsters

Of course. If a lone troll can't be brought down by a formation of shooters then something is wrong.

However, the bows aren't the issue. A monster is to easy to kill, full stop. All except ones using the XH2K table.

For now we give H2K and VH2K R3. But even that might not be enough.
