One of your trolls appears to be missing

(One of Bilbo's three - I can see 2 of them at the back)
They are actually a Mordor Cheerleader group

Nicely painted and based.

I'll speak on Harfoot's behalf when I say that the trolls you are seeing look great on the tabletop, especially facing off against Thorin's company.

Here is my collection so far of Easterlings, one of my favorite armies, still adding to
it, currently painting Amdur and Dragon knight both mounted.

Got a great bargain today in my local Hobby Craft, the GW Modular Hill for £12.00, got a couple as they fit on to the Realm of Battle boards, same base shape, then the smaller hill fits on top of them, will photograph when painted.

So amazing army shots here, I am very jealous... I have no complete army at all, and you have more than three on such a high painting standart (and with so many cool miniatures I'd like to have...). I m really looking forward to seeing the Mordor army although I do not like Mordor that much. I think I will have to paint more in the future...

Thanks, I've been painting for 30 years, so it tends to build up. Just looked at your blog, excellent work on the Gandalf in Cart over the Ebob Bridge, just love the black & white photo, very atmospheric

This is my first photo with a milk bottle light box. Luckily it was empty first !

Like this figure, can't wait for the Bear to come out.

Fantastic - the light box provides a more even light so the highlights and shadows are all visible. This is one of the biggest images I have seen of this sculpt and it is very good - very like the film version. I particularly like how you picked out the laces on his boots and those mad looking busy eyebrows (there was a teacher at my old school had eyebrows like that).

Great work Paul. An excellently painted figure that the light box has helped to capture very well.
I like the little additions to the base that are very fitting with Beorn.

Have you had any problems with your Mounted Easterling Warpriest? Mine pretty much melted right into a 45 degree angle at the horses foot, so just throwing it out there to watch out for it in the summer months.

After having this for a while now i have finally passed my Courage test to start it!
I dont know why but i have always put myself off from painting it, being scared i will not do it justice i Guess.

The painting technique is based on information passed to me by fellow One Ringer "Gandalf the Grey", Thanks for your advise, i have taken it.
I previously had a lot of discussion on what colour the rocks/bricks should be, Grey is best for that part of Middle Earth, IMO

I changed the technique slightly to use the paints i have.

I started by cleaning the resin with a sharp knife and fine sand paper, then soapy water to wash away release agents and dust.

Then i Sprayed Tamiya Grey primer on.

You can see i have started to spray the darker Tamiya X24 (Dark Grey)

Then i Dry brushed Army Painter version of Codex Grey followed by dry brushing
- Vallejo Green Brown
- Army painter light grey
- Grave Yard Earth
- Bleached bone
- White

- Wash of a medium green paint heavily diluted

- Dry brush Army Painter light Grey followed by White

I am painting it in stages, taking my time, really enjoying it. Please note this is in its early stages with a lot more work to do.
