Might not be the right place to put it. But i found this in one of my model stores:
http://samurai-battles.com/category/catalog/mini-sets/
It had like this strange russian boxes. I saw on them scale 1/72
Kinda made me wonder what scale are the lotr mini's? (In terms of scale like 1/...)
They were pretty cheap so it would be nice if they were the right scale. I kinda could have taken them, but i would have hated it if they had different scale :P

No, that's not gonna work.

1/72 is a little to small... unless you want some tiny hobbits.

'true-scale' 28mm are very hard to find in non-wargaming store, because most model kits from the likes of revell and such are either 1/72 or 1/44... There's no middle road.
28mm would be about 1/60 I think.

So, no, probably not

1/56 is 28mm, plenty of other manufacturers out there in these scales. Wargames Factory do Samurai in plastic if you are after them.

O, yes, forgot that one!

Wargames factory is a very nice company... They also do some decent orcs, now I come to think of it.

Here's a link to the different samurai kits, garm:

I'm using the WF samurai horses for my mounted khandish warriors. The horses are exactly the same scale as the lotr haradrim raider horses. You can check them out on my wip.

1/48th scale commonly works for 28-30mm. Many companies make samurai in 28mm metal.

Ok ty for helping out u guys. I kinda liked the mounted guys with the spears. But since the scale is quite different i ll leave them be. Maybe when i get trough my lotr stash i could always give them a go. Still got some 1/35(i think) soldiers to from earlier days when i started with model planes and tanks. I wonder if i ever will paint those, kinda lost intrest in them since they look so terribly huge now (compared to the lotr mini's). Also kinda fragile with all those parts u have to glue togheter.
