My current project is two Dwarf Mine Workings. I used balsa wood and whatever I had (chains, an american 1/35 WWII basket, pins, etc). Below you can see the photos. Any comment is welcome as always. More photos here: http://dramatickatastases.blogspot.com/

I needed some mirrors to match with the dwarf mine workings. My wife had three, almost empty, powder cosmetic boxes(GothmogtheWerewolf please help. I mean this small plastic one with a mirror and a sponge inside it), so I grabed the opportunity and below you can see the results:

Dwarf mine workings and mirrors are ready. I painted them with Vallejo Flat Earth and then washed with GW Devlan Mud. Below you can see the result. Any comment is welcome.

Thank you all for your comments. Here is my last project, the new finecast Dwarf command. I painted them blue for a change. I had some problems with them e.g. the flagpole was bent, the horn had some bubbles, etc., but anyway they are very nice miniatures especially the Hornblower who is my favorite. Below you can see some photos, any comment is welcome as always.

Nobody posted a comment for the previous Dwarves, so I post today the fourth, the banner-bearer. Now you can see all four of them. Furthermore, you can see a Dragonbearer. I had converted a dwarf warrior with two handed weapon to a banner-bearer. The banner was the usual aluminium foil. I didn't like though the runes that I had painted on it. So, I bought this Roman Dragon, I painted it green, a real dwarfish colour and below you can see the result. Any comment is welcome.

My new project is an army of Warg Riders. The army consists of twenty mounted miniatures among whom there are named heroes, a shaman, a taskmaster, etc. Below you can see some photos at their initial stage.

Wow batpan, I love the mirror idea! They looks much better than GW attempts. Also enjoyed the pen cover/lid confusion, entertaining but also an interesting concept for creating cheap drummers! Keep it up

Thank you all for your comments. About the twenty wargs now, another thing that I changed is the flag of the banner-bearer. That flag was not exactly what I had in mind when I converted one of the archers to a banner-bearer. Back then, I changed his left hand which held the bow with another one which carried a shield. I made the flag of greenstuff, the pole was a pin and the spearhead belonged to a Uruk-hai pikeman. The final result was not so nice. Furthermore, during the games it was not noticable that this was the miniature which carried the banner. He looked as a simple spearmen more than a banner-bearer. But since every problem has a solution, in this case a solution was to remove the greenstuff flag and make a new one. This time I used the usual aluminium foil instead of the greenstuff. I think the result now is far better than the previous. More photos here:
http://dramatickatastases.blogspot.com/
The spearhead is an old Ral Partha Minotaur's weapon while the flagpole is the same pin. I wanted to make the flag noticable from all over the battlefield. For this reason, the flag had to be painted with bright colours. But orcs can not have such colours! So, the flag had to be a trophy! I will paint the flag with the same colours I used for the SKoDA banner. Now you can understand the reason why I added the finials. Any comment is welcome.
