Judging by your progress pic before, it looks like you're past half way. It would be a shame not to see it completed, if only partially and not fully. Mine is almost done, it's just those tedious details to do and basing. I hate painting the faces and especially the eyes on my WoMT command models. Keeping the tip of the brush off of the already painted helmet is pretty annoying. I know a couple of you guys are doing that Command set, did any of you found painting the banner man's face tedious?

I certainly did! :-X

Here is my completed entry, minus the banner bearer, who I misplaced while tidying my desk during the week, and who reappeared while I was looking for my camera.

WARNING: Pic Heavy Post!!

The Japanese Hiragana characters on Amdur's loincloth (actually I think the top symbol is Chinese) don't actually say anything (as far as I know). I put them there because of Middle Earth's resemblance to the real maps of Europe and such, and as he's an Easterling, I figured if you go far enough east... pe 1ka te... total nonsense, just some symbols I remember from when I was learning Japanese a while back

Your base work is awesome too, good as a tie-breaker to get those votes. Well done Blue Dragon.

Any idea on how much time is left Red Corsairs?

Awesome Easterlings BD

@Sacrilege85: we have until midnight today.

I haven't even started my entry yet, so I won't try and rush it, I'll paint it next month (or the month after) instead

Hi, just my march prrof pic (the last one of 3) and my entry.

I'm sorry but it was rather rushed and something required for my entry did not arrive in the post :(
my camera was also playing up so have to use my low quality camera on my phone as there is only 15mins till the deadline!
Thought a rushed entry was better than none at all :-D

Bring on the April challenge  :legolas:

Here are my guys, just to prove I did them. My camera (camera work?) isn't near good enough to see much of anything, but I'm happy with them IRL.

Here's my completed entry. :-D

Someone asked me in my WIP somewhere if I would paint my Rohan army with red capes similar to my purple scheme for my Haradrim. I wondered how I could do that with still sticking closely to the films and books. So I decided since Grimbold's Helmingas are basically more elite than the Rohan warriors, why not have them stand out more with red cloaks instead of green. The red didn't turn out how I wanted though. I wanted it to look worn out like for example a "Catachan Green cloak" compared to a "Dark Angels Green cloak." The Catachan looks worn out next to DA green but I couldn't get it to work with red so here it stands.

Did some freehand on the banner. Most of it is sculpted on though.
Good luck to all! It's been fun to finish these models.

Wow Wah Wing! I love yours and they are painted very originally with red capes. I like them very much.
