Well held some place in North America where anyone can travel to. Anyway I don't want to hijack Killerkatana's thread, so I'll finish by saying awesome collection Killerkatanas.

I'm no Hollywood Star, I'm a High School teacher, and yes, I do spend a lot on this stuff, but I almost always get it at a discount. I either buy from a friend, who owns a game store up in Burbank, who gives me a good discount, or I get them from Ebay. Even the place where I get them painted gives me a great discount.

On Ebay you can find many good buys. Many figures are painted badly, and while some may see that as a put off, I see the badly painted miniatures as a great investment; after all, they can be stripped.

With 200 Ents you would probably be able to take on all my armies! I'll get more of those some day, just so I can do the Fall of Isengard scenario.

I now have more elves! Scored a great deal on Ebay Germany. I got 8 Galadrim mounted troops, 32 Galadrim plastic warriors, 32 Galadrim Guard (the metal ones), Haldir, Legolas, Thranduil, Celeborn, and a stormcaller, plus WOTR bases, all pro-painted for $430.00

I have been collecting a few figures at a time for 40 years. As hobbies go, this one is not that costly. I have a few armies that are way over the top. Mostly I collect until the army is a reasonable size and then switch and add a new army. My budget for figures is not large. I do have armies of every thing for LOTR. It took 10 years. Just make a budget and stick to it.

Because it will be in America, and it's a pretty long flight across which ever ocean you would have to cross. I vote in nearish to DC. Pretty centralized, and it's nearish to where I live, not to mention it's America's capitol.

So you're meaning to say that Angband is close to Washington DC??? Coincidence?

Btw if you want to continue this discussion, head over to the topic "One Ring Meet & Greet" in opponent finder section.

And Killerkatanas set up a gallery for photos of your armies.
