Very nice Hobbit holes there, they look very good. I wouldn't mind building one myself. Some good painting you have there, pity the quality of the most recent pictures aren't great. Hope you get that camera of yours fixed soon

Your painting has certainly improved a lot in the last few months. You will get a better picture though, if you can take a photo without the flash. So maybe rest your camera on something (a tripod would be great, but a book would be fine) turn off the flash and and use the camera's timer.

Ty, this miniature thing has holding a grip on me for almost a year now. I have also played a game yesterday. It was really fun. I think i can say that i love every aspect of this hobby. I got tripod - so that would be nice to try but i got a problem with the camera for now. I think i should get it fixed. Most of the time i have for myself goes to the hobby now. I Just gotta keep on mind that i have drawing work to do also :-D

. When my camera will be fixed i ll make sure to put on pictures of new painted figures and so on.

As far as for scenery building , i might have to stop doing that to much. I barely got space left to put it.

Yes i know still bad quality picture. Sorry for that. I got ugluk and vaskru painted, and most visible the wargs. And then the start of my sculpt. Might be to small i think i don't know. Maybe i could make it bigger by using lots of layers. It has a bumb on his shoulder from the wire. I am bad at making armatures. I ll try to put some fur on that.

I just borrowed a camera to get some photographs and i thought why not give the other one another try and for some of other reason i had no troubles this time at all... So finally after all this waiting better quality pictures.

Those look pretty good Wouter, you are certainly becoming a better painter!

I love the White Warg and the Numenorian, they look superb.

I'd suggest thinning your paint though - it helps alot.

Things are looking good (though I never really liked painting my models with that bright of a green). I would work on creating more shadows and highlights (I think this would drastically improve areas like the red piece of the shirt in your last pics) this is relatively easy to do by simply mixing a tiny bit of white with the undercoat and then applying it to the highest areas (you can do this backward if your pots are full of bright colors). The focus also seems to be on the background instead of the foreground in some of your pictures - this can be fixed by bringing the camera out and then slowly back in towards the model, by setting up a white background, by manually adjusting the focus on the camera, etc.

You are right about the focus. I should have thinked about that. Ah well here is another thing. Only a start but i am curious what it will become. I am not really experienced with sculpting that much , certainly this small. And i haven't used that greenstuff very much either. I hope this is going in the good direction. I might have troubles with the head and the hands.

If the proportions are wrong forgive me lol , i will be happy if it looks good :rofl:

That looks like a great start (I think the head would be hard :shock:

). I don't work with greenstuff myself - thoug I use putty to fill gaps and I glue on small pieces of board and/or superglued paper to make armor, drums, etc.

Today i went to get some introduction in an other way of painting.
What i show here is not mine but the shopkeeper his work. ( but i own the figures lol.)
He did the start of the cloak of the elf warrior and his face. He starts from a white base coat this makes the painting a bit different. Here is the start of the elf. I will try to finish this model. After seeing how he has done it. Hopefully it will work for me to lol. I guess practice will make it. It feels like you have kinda lots of possibilty's painting this way. But i still got lots of black base coated figures to do. So maybe later after it.

Now further on he worked on the cave troll itachi0602 gave me. The head is sculpted by me. The base i have gotten from the shopkeeper. I had no base for it. And hadn't bought any yet. According to the shopkeeper this figure is not even half painted; I think it 's almost finished lol. I will try to finish the rest. After some practice on the elf...
I would not like to ruin his painting. I putted my old troll near it. To show the difference in painting skills :-D

Oh yeah, the head is deformed. But i just liked it when i sculpted it. It seems deformed and it was nice that way. So i didn't intend to copy the original.

Some plastic trees I bought. The leaves of the loaf tree should have been lighter.. perhaps... + skull on the robes of my sculpt
