April Painting Challenge

Greetings, once again.

With the winners of the February Painting Challenge declared, and the March Challenge well under way, it is time to begin considering what will be our miniature for the April Challenge. This will be our last Painting Challenge before the One Ring Awards, as we want to give you lot plenty of time to put together some quality entries. As with last month, I have selected two miniatures from each of the Good factions (except for the Elven Kingdoms since that is what we selected in February) and you all will have seven (7) days to select a suitable miniature. Please feel free to help us select a miniature even if you don't plan on participating. Maybe you just want to see how our resident talent paints it up.

Also, given the number of entries we've been getting each month, I'm probably going to add a third place award of one Gold Coin.

Me too...mostly because I have an Ent assembled and looking forlorn in his grey plastic state.

I voted for Elrond, mainly because he's the only model from the list i have,and he is fun to paint

I also voted for the Ent, I've been wanting one for quite sometime and this gives me a good reason to go out and buy one. It should be fun to paint a larger model for the competition, and I'd really look forward to competing.

I voted for Boromir. A lot of members on the site said that Boromir is their favourite character, both in the book and in the films, so it seems he is likely to inspire people to paint him well. Secondly, I have the model and want to improve my talents with him and make him stand out. Thirdly, I'm really quite intrigued to see how people will try to be creative with him

I voted for durin, I'm starting a dwarf army so seeing him painted multiple would be inspiring.

I too voted for the Ent; for two reasons that have been mentioned already, it will be good to tackle a bigger mini and I really want one of UKFB's Willowlashes and this is as good an excuse as any to order one.

Ent (not being too hasty, I hope).

Why? It is bigger, a different type of challenge plus there are quite a few possibilities out there to represent Ents over and above the official versions (mentioning no names, ahem). The larger base will also demand a bit more work and creativity from the participants.

Ooo, that's a toughie. I've opted for Ent as I've been meaning to convert a couple of mine for a while now and this would be the perfect excuse.

Having said that i won't be dissapointed if it is Boromir as I have four or five different ones to paint up.

I vote Boromir as he's the only one on the list I have and actually want to paint. I don't have any of the other models but I really do want to enter. I really enjoyed the nazgul challenge but I've missed out on the past 2 because I haven't got any of the selected models.
