I found an interesting find on the coolminiornot website, a book entitled" The Ultimate Miniature Painting Guide." It comes in a pdf format, I'm going to purchase a copy shortly.

Here is the link:

This reference sounds like a very useful tool for painting any type of miniature, over 400 pages of step by step methods. Anyways I thought one-ringers might find it an interesting resource.
Ryan.

I might be wrong, but is it possible that this is simply a compilation of some well-known CMON articles? And if so why pay money for it, since they can be read for free?
Tell me more about it!

The book was put together as an "Official" e-book. This was done to stop certain conmen on e-bay that were simply copying the articles on Cmon and them selling them on e-bay as downloadable pdf files. This happened fairly frequently.
So all the members that had given articles to Cmon agreed to have them put into an official release. I believe that I have two in there myself. Yes you can read them for free but for just under 10 dollars it isn't a bad deal, you can then either just read them at your leisure on your pc no matter whether Cmon is down or not or print off the whole book into hardcopy. Not bad I think.

I have to say for 9.95 it is an awesome deal. The book is sweet nice layout worth the money. It does save the time of having to thumb through the articles to find what you need. I am totally taken by this book
