Oh, I have Radagast from EFGT and will be getting the Sled. Are both eligible? I have the former assembled already.

Sure both are eligible for the challenge but only one can be entered as your final piece - feel free to post a proof pic containing both models and decide later which to enter in the challenge.

Okay, I will put proof pics up tomorrow then. 8)

I have plenty of time to paint this month.

Why don't you just have Istari and have done with it DMS ? - lol

I did think bout making the challenge title "Istari" but with all of the new Radagast sculpts available of late I thought it would be nice to see what everyones take on him would be. Of course not everyone owns a Radagast model so I added in that any of the Istari are eligible to enter the challenge

If the topic was istari we'd be asking if any dude with robes would be OK. Better be strict initially and then give us some slack.

It would be great to see you in the challenge Azog - get that brush out! :D

Exactly! Grab the brush and show us how the goblin king does it!

Hmm not really these guys either i'm afraid.

The Istari or Order of Wizards were made up of Gandalf the Grey, Saruman the White, Radagast the Brown and Alatar and Pallando the Blue Wizards. These are the guys which are eligible for the challenge,

I went a little OTT with my first painting comp (http://www.one-ring.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=96&t=24388), this second one will be a bit more achievable.

Thanks elf lover, that s the hope, I'm very happy with the conversion but we'll have to wait and see!

Really curious to see just how many bunny-sled entries start rolling in from today onwards! Mine's on order so who knows, I might do him too, surely I can paint one of the three reasonably well!

I was to thinking of entering the sled, but waiting for it to arrive and don't think I will have enough time with other projects.
Good luck every one!

And there's the first! I have so many Gandalfs (Gandalves?) to paint but I don't have a painted Radagast. My local store didn't have his sled so I've got it ordered and that'll definitely be my entry.

I've had this old Ral Partha wizard in my minis box for ages, he looks rather Radagasty with his gnarly staff. Maybe now I have the excuse to paint him. Rather bland pose though.

A bird or a hedgehog on that outstretched arm might be a nice touch.

Will either be entering my scenic Gandalf mounted - in which case I'll take a new proof pic with new face painted -, a seated Gandalf conversion like Ebob's old Resting Wizard, or my own converted Radagast on Bunny Sled!

Hi,
here's my first entry for a challenge...
It's a Gandalf the Grey, coming out of The Fellowship box.
I just based him to take the pics today, hope that's ok...

Azog is in the challenge

Now all I have to do is remember how to paint

I think I'm going to give it a try with Vallejo Grey Primer (except for the raven) and see how it comes out.

I've always worked off black before but the challenge is all about stretching yourself so wish me luck. :-D
