Well I didn't feel like painting the Witch-king so I went and bought Legolas on horseback. I guess it's no longer available but I'm not sure. The last one at my local store is all I know.

I already have the foot model so I'm going to paint it for a friend of mine. It's kind of like 3 birds with one stone: He gets the model he really likes, it's already painted (has been scared of painting heroes for a while), and it's free!

So here are the proof pics.

Hopefully I can paint it better than my old one pictured above. :?
Good luck everyone! :-D

This fits perfectly with my plans for both my Rohan and Dwarf army, I have Durin to paint for the Dwarves, and Theoden and an Eowyn conversion for Rohan :D Now I have to choose... :?

Thanks Gunslinger. The leg broke off after I had already filled it and primed the model so it's in the process. Again.

Certainly is! 8)

Well I was thinking I might enter something special considering this momentous weekend has given us all the best part of 4 days off! Enough time to start a project... I am going to create a dioramma of Theoden at the Pelennor Fields. Please ignore the Son of Eorl, I will find a Theoden model soon! Models with paint on will have a new paint job after conversion work is finished. Long month ahead of us, good luck all!

What is the left model? It looks like a Rohirrim with a Warg Rider helmet.

Son of Eorl model on the left, no work done although the camera angle does make it look like he's wearing a mask (is that the one you meant?). Otherwise the plastic rohirrim has had a weapon swap and a horrific paint job previous :x

I've done some work on Legolas. The skin, cloak and green jacket thing is finished.
Had to fill in the horses leg again as it broke off.

Here they are.

Why the pictures keep going this large, I don't know.

@WahWing, does your local GW store still sell metal models then?

Nice work, and nice work to all.

Hopefully, I can get a Queen Beruthiel for this challenge painted, I'm just wondering what to do about the cats.

I live in the countryside of Idaho so I think the closest GW store is about 13+ hours away. I think Canada is closer actually. Only 11 hours. Never been to an actual GW store. My local hobby stores in town have leftover metals which I can buy. One of the stores carries more GW products than the other which has more metal products and stuff. They have an entire wall for 40K metals but only a small section for LotR. Hope that clarifies things.

Still plugging along on Legolas here. Bits and parts here and there. :-D

Just noticed yours, pressures really on now! :o Any thoughts on horse colour yet? Might be a good idea to differentiate that part for variety!

Also added a half uruk corpse on the bottom

Now only Eomer remains. I should paint up those 2 rohan riders as well. So i can spraycan varnish everything up in one time. It takes me at least 2 days. 2 coats, one day each for drying.

Why is the Uruk wearing a grass-green loincloth? That's not Uruk-y at all, IMHO, though of course you can do what you like.

Aye, I understand you.

On an unrelatede note, I hope there are no more Jubilee references. It really does my head in.
