Mumak stampede

Just a quick question about when a Mumak stampedes.....

.....it says the Mumak should turn to face a random direction.....

how is this random direction chosen?

I was playing a fallen realms army a few weeks ago and we span a pen in order to determine the 'random' direction. Is there a more official way to determine the direction??

Probably the best way is to use a scatter die from 40K or WFB. I suspect they couldn't come right out and say that for WotR for some reason though.

Thanks Rangefinder for that. I have read that document before but obviously missed that page somehow!!

ForgottenLore - the only GW games I play is LOTR so don't know about other things -- but thanks anyway!

we use a scatter die

we made one easily, just use a sharpie and create arrows on a white die Pointing to a corner and when you roll it go whichever way the arrow is pointing. you can buy them cheap too.

I should add, my son got a Mumak for his Fallen Realms army, and as much as I hate fighting that thing, it was one of the most fun models to play and see how it turns out each turn, it was a blast.
