I was thinking of adding a new Herioc action that works like Epic Cowardice except it is done at the beginning of the shoot phase. It costs a might point and a Hero can leave its formation to another within 12" to avoid a more likely than not demise that turn. Those soldiers wouldn't be feeling too good about that. Any thoughts? Good idea, bad idea? A better name for it since its an oxymoron. :)

I don't lke the idea of normal heroes being able to move out of their formation since they are an upgrade.

I have to agree, the only reason to make an action Heroic instead of Epic is so that the generic heroes can use them, but captains and shamans and the like can't leave their formation.

In addition, if any hero can do this, it kinda renders Epic Cowardice pointless.

Also, I think having Epic Cowardice called int he fight phase was a deliberate balancing factor on the ability, you might not be able to pull it off in time if your opponent is calling something else. Epic Cowardice requires that the hero move to an unengaged formation, limiting the ability and pretty much restricting its use to escape. If it is called int he shoot phase however, then no formations are engaged and a hero could use it to At the Double a slow formation in the rear and then jump to a forward formation that you expect to charge with.

Basically, it makes heroes too mobile.

I agree with you guys. I was trying to to think up a way to avoid a duel so you wouldn't fear putting a caster in the front line. I think I'll scrap that idea. Thanks!
