I think the next "batch" will just be finecast rereleases next month. I don't think they'd release any dwarves until the Hobbit.

Is there a way of emailing and asking GW about whether they will bring out WOTR stats for these new pieces? Because if they simply brought out some stats I would go and buy quite a few of these new pieces, but as I have never played SBG I'm a little removed from buying them at present.

I suppose you'd just have to mail Customer service.

There doesn't seem to be much talk about WotR...
Fingers crossed for the new stats sometime soon, although looking at some of the images kinda puts me off!

I spoke to someone In my GW store and they said that there not going to bring out the new stats for WOTR! How rubbish is that. Maybe it was a ploy, as I bought the one ring rule book plus a sourcebook to see what this SBG is all about

It wouldn't surprise me that they wouldn't, but it is strange your GW people old you that, as I know for a fact that GW employees don't know anything like that until a few days before it is released, so they could well have WoTR stats, its just GW employees don't know it yet.

Yeah your probably right Gothmog, he just got me chatting about the new system, showed me a quick game then for some reason tried to get me to buy the mines of Moria box set, even though I didn't need the pieces, puzzled me a little that did. But he did get me to buy the book though. The game seems fun (SBG) played a 250 point game this evening with a friend. But still think WOTR is better although I'm willing to give SBG a go.

If you want to know why he tried to sell you MoM set, don;t worry, they even ask people who played SBG for years when it first came out, i only found it useful for the paints, goblins and unique troll.

I like the new SBG rules, but I also liked the old SBG rules and WoTR, I guess I like anything they give us LotR as long ad there is evil in it.

250 is a good starting size, but the game is really fun at 700 pts, though with the new rules I suspect that that pt cost is more like 1,000.

Also, after reading about the new releases two weeks before I went into games workshop and spoke with staff who told me there was NO way that there would be a LOTR release until the hobbit, especially when it's 40k 25 anniversary... Despite me trying to tell them, they wouldn't have it. Still two weeks later and oh look, new releases.... This just shows GWS staff don't know what's coming until just before the release!
