I can't find the Writing articles article; have it been erased?

Yes, it seems to have disappeared... maybe it's being rewritten?
I too have been looking for it...
It had some great picture templates. If you need them, I have most of the ones in the article on my harddrive, and wouldn't mind sending em to you :)

I'd be very happy if you did. :)

Okay well these are the ones I could find...

This is the title template I made: (although not from the article :P)

Then this is the only one I could find that was actually from the article:

...I'm sure there were more, but I can't find them.

And these are ones that I made myself with Microsoft Paint:

1, a slightly bigger version of the first

2, one for those big photos

3, ...for 4 pictures, obviously!

I hope those are of use... and if there are some missing, just make em! It's amazing what you can do simply with Microsoft Paint...
Don't hesitate to ask me for different ones if you really have trouble making some yourself :)

I think those templates were actually scrapped. They needed to be used with some caution or the pictures would end up being too small. If you are planning on use those templates make sure you don't save over the original picture files so that you can always get them back later.

Remember, proofreaders can be picky on details! :P

I were going to write an article, but I don't know all the codes, so I can't write one... :(

What do you mean by not knowing the codes?

Err... Dunno what I meant really... Nah, but like making little boxes to have text and pictures in, and stuff like that...

Well here's the Article Submission Instructions thread by Dag:

Maybe you'll find some useful stuff in there :)

The "Article Instructions Guidelines" seems to be lacking the correct items list codes which were in the Writing Articles article. These are the correct ones I got from the article:

[split][col][itemlist]Title Here
Material 1
Material 2
[/itemlist][/col][/split]

For pictures, you have to have them already on your computer, then, at the bottom of where you type the article, click on "Browse", find your picture, double click it, give it a name in the name field (ex: If you decide to upload a picture for the title name it Title Picture or something of the sort), then simply click "Upload Image".
It should appear on the left side under "Images Avalaible", with the name that you gave it just above it. From there, copy its link, and put it in between the codes [AImg] and [/AImg]
Do a preview of the article and if you followed these steps, your picture should appear fine!

There are also three different types of headings:

The biggest is

Followed by

(most commonly used in articles... it's the one in a box used to name steps)

And the smallest

... this is basically as if you were just typing in bold...

Okay, well took quite some time to write this reply, and so I hope it helps! :-D
Don't hesitate to ask if you still have questions :)
