Just got back from the post office with some estimates on shipping costs.

It depends on the final weight of the dice sets of course, and when I get the actual dice I'll be able to give some definitive prices...

According to the guys at the post office, the postage to the UK/US/Europe is as follows:

1 set ... US$1.95, UK£1.40
2 sets .. US$3.25, UK£2.30
3 sets .. US$4.50, UK£3.20

It's cheaper to post to NZ and SE Asia, and cheaper again within Australia.

But I must emphasise that this is an estimate and I will post some actual costs when I have the dice in my possession.

They seem reasonable p+p charges, have you any ideas for the cost of the dice sets or have I missed it somewhere?

@Jack - I think they are around £4.50

Thanks for that Corsair. Yep that's about the price: £4.00 - £4.50 depending on the total cost of the order.

I have sent an email to Dawn of the Dice this morning, getting the ball rolling with the order, so when she gets back to me with the costs, I'll be able to work out an exact price for a set of 8 dice.

Stay tuned.

If I get a chance, I would love to get a set of these dice later in the year (maybe even in the Fall)
Is that ok?

If there any left in 6 months, sure! But I am kinda hoping that they will sell out before then.

Alan, if its any help, 8 TLA dice weigh 35g and a 6x4 mail lite padded envelope weighs 5g (will hold 24 dice). These envelopes cost me about 10p each on ebay - problem is I have 95 left :)

Mmm, not sure how we can put them to good use Dave.

One of the weird things about Australia Post is it's the width of the package more than anything else that bumps up the cost. For example, assuming a package weighs 50g (1 set of dice), then if the package is less than 20mm wide, postage is $2.00 to the UK. But if it's more than 20mm wide, postage jumps to over $10.

I got a padded bag from the post office, which would have been perfect, except it is 21mm wide with the dice inside it and the post office guy was doubtful about whether to charge the insane price or the sensible one. He even suggested that I pop all of the bubble-wrap inside the bag first to get it thinner!

Yup, thickness is an issue here to. Our post allows envelope cost up to 25mm which is enough for a padded bag and a layer of dice, over that it becomes a small packet and depending on where you send them either could be the cheapest rate! - go figure :) Maybe you could get away with putting them in a plastic bag first, small bags that hold eight dice and then posted in a strong brown envelope. The plastic bags should prevent any dice from moving and tearing a hole in the envelope. The plastic bags cost me 1p each.

Yeah that's a good idea Dave. I looked at getting some thicker envelopes but they work out to about £0.35p each, which is just silly and bumps the cost up unnecessarily.

Plastic snap-lock bags would be ideal.

Please Sir, I would like some dice, Sir. A couple of sets at least, probably more.
(Thinks: I wonder if they'll do sets of dice with 'Git' instead of 'One-Ring'?)

Maybe we should get some done with a certain WWII US anti-tank weapon on it.

Well, the order went in this morning. I'll post a picture of the dice when I get them and then we can start taking orders (er, donations)

I would love to get a set or 3 of the dice. These look really cool and are a nice match to the ones I am currently using.

How many dice in a set?

And in each set will you get each of the designs?

For now you can put me done for some... :yay:
