One more quick update before I paint this sucker!   As you can see the hedges have been finished. Again, these are just a few layers of cut scouring pads glued together, soaked in wood glue, and tossed in a secret recipe of turfs and flocks from woodland scenics. |

Two updates in one day?? You bet. Here are a few WIP updates leading to the (almost) finished piece.         All that is left to do is put a few detail pieces on the buildings (banners and flags) and give another highlight or two to the blue roof. |

And also, I'm not sure how I missed your earlier comment, but yes, the modularity of these pieces and the board in general is not only a necessity for space considerations, but also for the fact that I did not want boredom to set in after a few games on the board!
